Trumpetvine Travels Issues 1 & 2

In 2003 and 2004 I published two issues of Trumpetvine Travels, a zine focused on sketching. It was a wonderful experience: I loved planning and creating the issues and I met many wonderful people as a result.

However, the tasks of printing, binding, tracking, and shipping proved to be too much and I could not continue. However, both issues are now available as free downloads.

Topics Include:

  • Artist Profiles
  • Sketchbook Excerpts
  • Workshop Reviews
  • Supplies
  • Tips and Techniques
  • Resources
& lots of sketches!

The publications were originally printed and sold here; now both volumes have been reissued in PDF format:

Volume One

  • 40 pages (6 color, 36 b/w)
  • Half-size format (5.5" x 8.5")
  • Originally published in 2003
  • Warning, file is big: 30MB.
Save to your local drive before reading.
Download takes awhile, but it’s worth it!
