Introduction
I recently saw the term “sketchbook junkie”: that’s me! I enjoy drawing and painting in my own sketchbook and I LOVE to see others’ books. It is so inspiring to share our work, isn’t it? I also have happy addictions to art technique books, facsimile sketchbooks, and sketching workshops.
All of the sketches on this website are done with ink and watercolor in small customized Moleskine notebooks. I have been sketching in earnest for a number of years now and it has become an integral part of my life.

This is such a wonderful site, and I love your ‘How I Sketch: Part Two, Demonstration’ article. It was so insightful, and I’m going to use your tips when I go travelling next week. Somehow I came across the idea of sketching while travelling, and I’m lucky I did because I came across your blog. Thanks so much!
P.S. Your sketches are so beautiful! Hopefully my sketches won’t be too shoddy haha

Wow! you are amazing and so generous. I live in Lake Tahoe and sketching is my passion. I don’t know how I came across your bolg but I love to check in and see what you are up to. I am a printmaker and use my sketches as starting points for my prints.

Ah, beautiful on site drawings and sweet watercolor. I don’t know how I found thisblog of yours while searching but WOOOOWWWW it is lovely and perfect. I live near the Historic areas of Williamsburg and Yorktown Virginia and paint from pictures that I take. I often want to draw on site –Plein Aire, but rarely do I see anyone else doing this. I painted plein aire in Italy with other watercolor artists and loved it. I think it is the idea of being ALONE and being questioned about my work. The weather does not always cooperate and I manage a million excuses. HOW SILLY. I want to sketch and paint on site and I’m a chicken!! Gosh I am glad to have found your blog, I am inspired enough to bury the excuses. Thank you.
If you know of any artists looking for a sketching partner in Williamsburg Virginia, pass this on. rsnowdd@aol.com

I had a good time sketching with you and Lisa in Chinatown. Thank you for inviting me to sketch along with you. Please pass this on to Lisa, too.
Send me your email and I will send you a pdf sample of the CD case calendar I did.

I was looking through the notebooks photos on Flickr. I was drawn to one of your photos of a moleskine and through to your site about rebinding a moleskine.
Your ideas are very interesting and I find the photos charming.
thank you.
